Meet the Creative Director: Tatiana Peña
Tatiana Peña, a passionate, entrepreneur, cheerful and positive woman, is the founder & Creative Director of Tashi. Originally from San Andres Islas, Colombia, where she grew up and lived her childhood.
Businesswoman and economist by profession, Tatiana has served as beauty queen, TV presenter and model; experiences that led her to find her true passion: to uplift women through image and fashion.
After experiences such as participating in the Miss Colombia beauty contest and being an international model, Tatiana makes the decision to put into practice her economics career and decides to embark on a project where she could mix her vision for business and her passion for fashion that she discovered in the different jobs she worked in Tv and modeling; that is how Tashi is born
It is important to emphasize that Tatiana, a humble and charitable woman, has as her main dream to create a foundation with her own resources where she gives education to the children of the world through art and fashion. She realized that she needed a company, since she did not want to work in the normal facets of an economist and that her inclination was more focused on the world of art, fashion, and without a doubt, always focused on empowering woman.
Tatiana, being a lover of sport, saw the possibility of creating a brand of Colombian clothing sportswear, as this workforce is recognized for its high quality worldwide. While investigating, she realizes that in Brazil there were the best textiles for this type of clothing so she decided to embark on a trip to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo to enter this world.
During her trip to Brazil, Tatiana discovered smart textiles that provide benefits to skin care. Textiles that today are one of the brand’s added values. And decided to launch the first collection of sportswear in 2009.
In 2011, Tatiana had the opportunity to launch her brand in Europe with a runway for the opening of Ibiza’s summer, where she successfully managed to introduce her line into luxury hotel boutiques and with this she had the possibility to expand to Madrid and Barcelona with the same format.
The needs of the market and her vision led her to expand the brand and create a brand that meets the needs of women and that empowers them through the image and fashion with a TASHI experience where not only the result is the sale of the clothes if not a comprehensive advice that helps you to be the best version of yourself, whit this they manage to make intelligent purchases that helps them emphasize their qualities.
Today, Tashi has 5 lines of clothing: Beachwear, sportswear, lifestyle (boho chic), Couture and the new casual chic line that she first brought to first Panama and with which is being introduced in the Panamanian market with success.
Tatiana defines the Tashi woman as a woman who loves life, self-confident, and empowered. Elegance and vitality are factors that define the Tashi woman, who catches all eyes where she goes. She loves small details, knows how to connect her qualities with non-verbal language (the image), showing the world the greatness of being a woman.
